The LabPlas Sani-Stick Surface Sampler, with its rigid handle, is designed to facilitate the collection of samples used to detect microbiological contaminants and other food pathogens.
- 7½” x 11½” (191 x 292 mm) 3.5mil standard closure Twirl’em bag
- Each box contains 10 foil pouches with 10 Sani-Sticks each
Rigid handle for accessing hard-to-reach places
The rigid handle of the Sani-Stick allows to exert pressure without risk of breakage, which allows the user to rub rigorously the surface to be analyzed. Finger support on the handle prevents the finger from sliding along the handle and contaminating the sponge. The ribs on the sleeves also allow the user to have a good grip in order to reach restricted or places difficult to access.
Contactless sponge release mechanism
Simple and practical, the sponge quick release system ensures reliable analysis results. Indeed, the clip at the end of the handle makes it possible to never come into direct contact with the sponge, thus avoiding cross-contamination. The clip also ensures that no plastic residue is found in the bag, which could be problematic if the sample is sent to the homogenizer.
Cellulose sponge
The cellulose sponge is natural, making it a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative. It consists of several small holes and is excellent for collecting samples on smooth surfaces.
Different types of neutralizing solutions
All our solutions are designed to meet your most specific needs.
Dey-Engley Neutralizing Broth (DE)
Dey-Engley neutralizing broth is a solution that inhibits the effects of a wide range of sanitizing agents. It contains nutritive agents that aid in recovering and promoting the growth of microorganisms.
Letheen Broth (LT)
Letheen Broth is a nutrient-rich medium that neutralizes various compounds found in sanitizers, and supports the growth of microorganisms. It is used to test the efficacy of sanitizing protocols and to detect the presence of microorganisms.
Buffered Peptone Water (BPW)
Buffered peptone water is a non-selective pre-enrichment medium used to promote the recovery of stressed bacteria during food processing. Its enzymatic digest products and stable pH promote bacterial growth.
Neutralizing Enrichment (NE)
The neutralizing buffer is used to neutralize the bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects of cleaning and sanitation products for surfaces and equipment.
